Six friends and family filled days in Scotland

Welcome to Scotland, a quick trip for a birthday visit and various family catch ups.

Our accommodation in Carron.

A Sunday walk to the amazing Falkirk Wheel via the interesting iron works.

An afternoon at the Wallace monument.

An evening at the pineapple house.

A Monday morning road trip to the beach!

A freaky backwards trip up the hill at Electric Brae (I admit I was sceptical).

After a 50p pee, a lovely walk around a fixer upper. Nothing a farmhouse sink won’t fix.

A wander around the quaint wee boat harbour at Dunure, followed by some coffee and scones.

Tuesday among the old buildings. Clackmannan Tower first.

Then Alloa Tower.

Then Dunfermline church …

the resting place of King Robert the Bruce …

… and the Abbey and Palace.

Then Linlithgow Palace.

More opulence and wealth than a modern person can imagine.

Thursday in Glasgow for coffee and an Empire (!) biscuit at the gardens.

Followed by a Play, a Pie and a Pint at the Oran Mor.

A Friday \ birthday trip to wander around the very excellent Glasgow transport museum.
